TTM Technologies acquires Epiq Solutions for $1.1 billion

TTM Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Epiq Design Solutions, a provider of software-defined radios, high-performance RF products and space compute solutions for defence and signals intelligence applications. The all-cash purchase price is USD 1.1 billion.

Epiq's products target mission-critical applications including signals intelligence, electronic warfare, missile defence, space communications and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. The acquisition is framed as a vertical integration move for TTM, adding software-defined radio and RF systems capabilities on top of its existing PCB and advanced interconnect manufacturing, according to a press release from the company.

The deal is expected to be immediately accretive to TTM's adjusted EBITDA margin and accretive to non-GAAP diluted earnings per share during 2028. Financing is committed from JPMorgan, Bank of America and Barclays.

"In support of our strategic direction we plan to continue to invest in critical technologies for our customer base. The addition of Epiq Solutions to TTM is highly strategic and provides complementary technology to our overall portfolio and represents an important step in executing our long-term growth strategy," said Edwin Roks, President and CEO of TTM.

The acquisition follows a period of significant expansion for TTM. The company has committed USD 1.2 billion in total investment from 2025 to 2029 for data centre and networking capacity, opened its new Ultra-HDI facility in Syracuse, and announced the acquisitions of Swiss Technology Group in Zürich, Switzerland, and ILFA in Hannover, Germany, which are expected to close in late Q3.

No closing timeline was specified for the Epiq acquisition.
