Norautron and Fideltronik join forces, creating €750 million EMS group
Norwegian EMS provider Norautron has signed an agreement to acquire Poland’s Fideltronik from the Stardust Family Foundation. The deal is set to reshuffle the European EMS rankings, as the combined group will have revenues of about EUR 750 million and some 3,500 employees.
Once the deal closes, the Stardust Family Foundation will become a significant shareholder in the combined group, according to a press release. The companies say the merger will make them a top five player in what they describe as the fast-growing European specialty EMS market. They expect it to improve their geographical coverage, efficiency, capacity and customer offering.
Fideltronik was founded in 1986 and is Poland’s largest homegrown EMS provider. Until now, it has served its customers only from its Polish sites.
“I am truly excited about the opportunity for Fideltronik to team up with Norautron on their ambitious journey to develop a leading position within the fast-growing European specialty EMS market” says Fideltronik’s CEO Łukasz Więcek in information sent to Evertiq. “Fideltronik has since its establishment 40 years ago been focused on serving customers from our Polish locations, whereas through Norautron we get access to a global manufacturing footprint allowing us to even better cater to our customers’ growing demands in an increasingly complex business environment.”
Norautron was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Horten, Norway. It has more than 1,000 employees in six countries.
The combined group, which will boast revenues of approximately EUR 750 million and a total of 3,500 employees, will have operations in Poland, China, Norway, the UK, Sweden and Malaysia.
The deal brings together two companies of quite different sizes. In the 2025 EMS & ODM European 100 ranking from in4ma and EMSNow, which ranks companies by revenue, Fideltronik came 17th, up from 23rd the year before. Norautron climbed from 63rd to 50th.
“Fideltronik has an outstanding track record and reputation across its customer base and in the wider EMS industry, and I am proud that Stardust Foundation has decided to partner up with Norautron for this next chapter.” says Bjørn Einar Brath, CEO of Norautron. “Not only are our two businesses highly complementary from a geographical, industrial- and customer perspective, but our cultures are also an excellent match.”
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
