Swedish electronics manufacturing under the microscope – again

In May, Evertiq mapped Sweden's 20 largest EMS providers at Evertiq Expo Lund. The ranking was built on a database constructed from scratch — more than 750 companies were reviewed one by one, with 77 qualifying. The presentation landed well, but the conversations that followed were the most valuable part.

On September 17, Dennis Dahlgren returns to the stage at Evertiq Expo Gothenburg with an updated version of the analysis. The database has been reviewed, cleaned and expanded since Lund, and the numbers have shifted.

The original analysis put ten individual production facilities at 57.5% of the Swedish EMS market in 2024. The discussions after the Lund presentation led to a round of additions and removals. With the updated database, the correct figure is 59.7%.

New data has also come in since May. For the first time, the mapping includes employment figures – how many people actually work in these factories. That opens up questions the Lund presentation never got to.

Do the highest-revenue factories also employ the most people? Six Swedish groups control more than 60% of the market – but what does the landscape look like for the companies that stand on their own?

Those are not rhetorical questions. The answers are in Gothenburg on September 17.

The original mapping was published in May 2026 and is available here.
