Chart: Eastern European EMS<br>market grows 10 pct per year

Market research firm MHM sees a compounded average annual growth rate in the central and eastern europe (CEE) region by 10.5%. Highest growth is in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine. Largest current market is Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The MHM's analysis has shown that the top 20 European EMS players alone will increase CEE Electronics Design and Manufacture capacity by €3Bn - including other players means an increase of €4Bn+ in total. This is the equivalent of 20 new €200M revenue facilities or 40 new €100M revenue facilities - just for EMS not counting OEM and ODM which generate greater increases - an additional €12Bn. MHM sees an opportunity for multiple factories in different CEE regions. According to MHM Medical, IIC, Automotive, Computer and Communications EMS grows in CEE. Among the most suitable transfering opportunities to CEE from Western Europe are EMS services for Box Build, Electromechanical Assembly, PCBA, Design/R&D. MHM's Partner Search Consultancy identifies and developes OEM and/or Competitor prospects to ensure a maximised share of the €4Bn of additional EMS flowing into the CEE market.
