Foxconn to deliver PS3 consoles to Sony

According to industry sources EMS provider Foxconn recently joined Sony's supply chain to deliver Play Station 3 consoles.

Starting on the first quarter 2008 Sony has set a shipment goal of 10 million PS3 consoles, according to Cens. Sony has cut the selling price of PS3 consoles. The company in the mean time plans to launch some low-price models, with Asustek and Foxconn as the suppliers. Sony launched PS3 consoles in the Q4 last year, ever since Asustek has been Sony's sole supplier of the products. Asustek hasn't profited from that as the selling price of the product is too high.
