Panasonic ready to produce LCD-TVs in Russia

Panasonic is now ready to start its LCD-TV production facility in Kaliningrad, Russia.
evertiq.com earlier reported that Matsushita Electronic, the owner of Panasonic, has signed an one-year contract with Kaliningrad-based electronics firm Baltmikst to produce 300,000 LCD-TVs per year.

Panasonic intends to start assemble the LCD-TVs in September this year. Panasonic will deliver the LCD panels to Russia in where Baltmikst will assemble the complete LCD-TV sets, local media reports.
