Intel invests $10m in UK RFID firm

Intel has invested $10 million in UK based chip design company Mirics Semiconductor.

Mirics has developed RFID chips that enable mobile phones and computers to receive content based on any number of technical standards used globally. Intel plans to give the Hampshire-based company management and technical advice, as well as introduce Mirics to potential investors, ZDNet reports.
