Intel opens R&D Centre in Russia

Intel has opened a R&D centre in Satis Techno Park near Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

Intel plans to increase staff by ten times on the Research and Developement Center within three years time. Howeverexperts think that qualified IT specialist's shortage in the area might block the realization. Other believes that Intel will make its employees proposals difficult to resist for people. Initially, the Intel development center was located in Sarov (former Arzamas). The company has transfered more than 100 different specialists into the new office, cnews reports. The Russian corporation office employees said one of the reasons for the move was the difficulty connected with the Intel's US representatives' access to the closed city. Today 14 companies are registered in the Satis Tecno Park, Intel is the only one operating. The company could not say how much they investment was, but Alexey Kibalko, Sarov Subsidiary Top-Manager stated $ 15mln.
