Foxconn plans to enter solar cell market
Rumour has it Taiwanese EMS Giant Foxconn is eyeing the solar cell industry.
The company may enter thin-film solar cell production through its subsidiary Innolux Display. Innolux today works closely with Chunghwa Picture Tubes which is currently helping Green Energy Technology to develop thin-film solar cells. Innolux Display is also leading a team assessing the photovoltaic industry. The rumour was reported by Economic Daily News, China quoted by DigiTimes.
