Intel cuts 1,000 jobs in New Mexico
Later this year Intel`s flash memory plant in New Mexico will be shut down and up to 1,000 people will lose their jobs.
The plant makes flash memory chips based on 135-nanometer manufacturing technology. Chuch Mulloy told Info World that the company wants to make its flash memory division profitable. By cutting older technology it could make this possible,cnet news reports.
