Shuen Der sees growing influence from ST
Lead-frame maker Shuen Der sees it profit grow rapidly because of being lead-frame supplier for Swiss based company STMicroelectronics.
SDI saw its pre-tax profits more than double to US$20.6 million in 2006. According to industry sources SDI is likely to handle 60-80% of STMicroelectronics' requested lead-frames in 2007. To meet the growing demand, SDI has completed construction of its third plant in China with volume production to start in February.
