Celestica workers to leave<br>earlier than expected

Celesticas closing of its Scottish Telford plant seems to move faster.
The Celestica plant in Telford that has about 665 workers will be reduced in workforce much faster than earlier expected. Most of the workers at Celestica's electronic factory in Telford, Shropshire, will lose their jobs before Christmas, union leaders have said.

The plant in Priorslee is due to close in April next year because of a lack of business orders but now it seems that most of the employees will lose their jobs before Christmas.

Union Officials said they had achieved a "reasonable" redundancy package for workers at the site.
