RoHS Enforcement Guidelines
The European Union (EU) released a RoHS Enforcement Guidance Document in May 2006, providing assistance on how the EU will monitor and enforce the RoHS Directive.
The document is informative and advisory; it has no legal authority. Individual EU member states have their own RoHS enforcement rules; this guidance must be applied within the limits of these rules. However, individual member state rules should align closely with the EU guidance document, which is separated into three sections: aims, objectives, and principles; these sections address enforcement, documentation, and testing.
