German PCB industry reached<br>unnormal heights in July

The German Printed Circuit Board industry reached unusual levels in July. The turnover in the German PCB industry even surpassed the record year 2000.

In comparison with July 2005 the turnover increased by 17 percent. For this year's seven first months the turnover is 11 percent higher than it was for the same period in 2005. The order intake is normally rather weak in July but in July 2006 the order intake was the second largest so far this year. July 2006's order intake was 16 percent higher than previous month and for the year's first seven months was 24 percent higher than for the same period 2005. Compared with July 2005 the order intake was about 32 percent higher in July 2006. The strong demand from the consumer electronics segment is reportedly one main driver for this positive development in the German PCB industry.
