Swedish EMS lays off<br>25% of its workforce
The Swedish EMS EDC today announced the lay-off of 25 percent of its total workforce.
About 25 workers have now been given notice at the company's plant in Munkfors and its office in Karlstad, Sweden. This is the second lay-off in the Swedish EMS industry in short time. On September 22 one of Sweden's largest EMS providers Partnertech gave notice to 70 employees. EDC´s CEO Per Smeds explained the latest workforce reduction with its customers wanting to transfer more of its production to Asia.
