Elke Eckstein jumps from Alti to AMD

Elke Eckstein has joined the company as VP of AMD Fab 30, reporting to Hans Deppe, corporate VP and general manager of AMD Dresden. In this role, Eckstein will have overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of AMD's Fab 30, as well as oversee the transformation to 300mm wafer production as Fab 38, the company said this morning. "AMD's reputation for technology leadership and efficiency in semiconductor manufacturing is well known and respected throughout the industry," said Eckstein in AMD's statement. "With a proven track record of customer-centric innovation, I look forward to joining the AMD team and ensuring that Fab 30, and later Fab 38, stay at the forefront of microprocessor manufacturing for years to come."
