Design priorities shift in a post-RoHS world
Almost two months after the European Union's ban on the use of six environmentally unfriendly materials went into effect, designers have clear evidence that failure to meet the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive means lost sales.
The priorities for the electronics designers has shifted as the electronics industry went into these times of RoHS. The RoHS implementation has resulted in many new aspects to weigh in to the design of the electronics and with EUP there are additional requirements to meet.
