Dell have known about the<br>battery problems for ten months
According to IDG Dell knew already for ten months ago that the Sony batteries could cause over heated notebooks and possibly even cause a fire.
Sony stated that discussions with Dell about the battery problems has been going on for ten months and that Sony has adjusted its manufacturing process for the battery cells after these talks. According to Sony Dell for ten month ago said: "We'll wait and see if anything happens".
