HANZA signs three-year deal with ABB

Swedish manufacturing partner, HANZA Holding AB, has signed an agreement with ABB Norway. The work will be done from HANZA’s Swedish cluster, which offers machine work, sheet metal, printed circuit boards and assembly. The initial three-year contract is worth about SEK 25 million annually (EUR 2.33 million).

“HANZA’s modern cluster approach to manufacturing ensures we support our customs with the latest technology, shortening lead times and helping reduce the environmental impact,” says Dag Furtemark, Cluster Manager Sweden at HANZA, in a press release. The contract consists of manufacturing mechanical parts and systems, and it will be carried out at HANZA’s Swedish cluster for deliver to ABB in Norway. “We have a close collaboration with HANZA's cluster in Sweden, which has an industry-leading degree of automation in the manufacture of sheet metal,” adds Thor-Erik Kristiansen, Purchasing Manager at ABB AS. “This, combined with the proximity to our factory, makes manufacturing both cost-effective and environmentally more sustainable.”
