HANZA expands relationship with Getinge

Swedish manufacturer, HANZA Holding AB, says it is expanding its partnership with the medical-technology company Getinge through the manufacturing of assembled mechanical parts for the company's ventilators and anesthesia machines.

The new deal has an annual value of about SEK 20 million, or about EUR 1.91 million. “We have a good cooperation with HANZA where they have become an important partner in the mechanical area for Getinge,” said Charlotta Elgström, Purchasing Manager at Getinge, in a press release. Getinge is a supplier of solutions for operating theaters, intensive care units and sterilisation centers as well as companies and institutions in the Life Science industry. As previously reported, HANZA has signed an agreement with Getinge for the manufacturing of components and systems for medical-technology products. The new deal includes mounted mechanical systems and complements the existing deal that HANZA has with Getinge. Production is expected to start immediately and be fully operational during the last quarter of 2019. “The extended collaboration with Getinge is additional acknowledgment of our strong business model,” said Thomas Lindström, Senior Vice President, Head of Business Solutions at HANZA. “More and more product companies see how we create value by streamlining the manufacturing industry with a focus on flexibility, total cost and environmental impact.”
