New investments at Orbit One in Stockholm

A lot is happening at the Swedish EMS provider Orbit One’s Stockholm unit. Several new investments have been made and the latest addition is a new surface-mounting technology line, consisting of three new machines of the brand MY 600, 100, and 200.

“We have also completed a total facelift of the production area to create more efficient production flows. We did this in record time thanks to a very strong Lean focus and we’re already seeing positive effects from the new flow, both in terms of efficiency and quality,” says Orbit One’s Site Manager in Stockholm, Dennis Fredriksson, ina press release. In addition, more quality-enhancing equipment has been purchased in the form of a new Koh Young AOI that measures in 3D, as well as a new SPI that also measures in full 3D with very high productivity and the utmost accuracy. “We are also pleased to experience an increased demand for our qualified box build services. As a result of this, we recently hired another purchaser with special expertise in both electronics and mechanics. We also introduced the process control programme OneTracker to increase and ensure quality and not least traceability, which is particularly important in advanced box build,” continues Dennis Fredriksson.
