Panasonic expands offerings with addition of Omni-ID's ProVIEW

According to a Panasonic-issued press release, ProVIEW solutions will be part of Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Company of America and provide material-flow management solutions to the manufacturing industry with a unique combination of its e-label "View" tags and software. ProVIEW replaces paper-based material flow processes with digital based solutions – creating "smart materials,” which are a cornerstone of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and was the winner of Frost & Sullivan’s "Global Material Flow Management for Manufacturing 4.0 Product Leadership Award" in December 2018. "The addition of ProVIEW solutions as well as the software and the talented team behind the technology will greatly reinforce our efforts to provide manufacturing customers around the world with innovative IIoT solutions that make ever-greater contributions to their businesses," said Jeff Howell, president of Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Company. During a short transition period, Omni-ID will continue to be the reseller of ProVIEW solutions.
