Scanfil and Sigma Connectivity enter into strategic cooperation
EMS provider has teamed up in a strategic partnership with design house Sigma Connectivity. With the new partnership agreement, the companies deepen their already existing cooperation to strengthen their offers towards their customers.
Scanfil has, during the last years, strengthen its core capabilities in electronic production and complex system integration manufacturing. To take the next step in Scanfil’s total offer, both parties are now broadening their offering towards its present and future customers, with focus on Time-to-Market, Total Cost and State-of-the-Art competences. Together the companies will now take products all the way, from design and development to serial production, a press release reads. “We have always had a common focus - a short time-to-market at the highest quality possible; therefore our new partnership with Scanfil is not only exciting but also a natural step forward. It will enable us to offer a complete development and production process to our customers with a like-minded partner and with that widening the offer of our Design House further,” says Björn Lundqvist, CEO, Sigma Connectivity, in the release. “I am excited about the new opportunities this cooperation will bring. Scanfil has a successful record of accomplishment of offering a wide service portfolio in combination with our production offer, and Product Development has been one of the most important services to create new and grow existing production businesses. Scanfil’s existing development centers in Sweden and Finland will continue to serve our local start-ups and mid-size customers while our new stronger partnership with Sigma will enable us to meet our growing global customer base, with a need of more and bigger development projects,” adds Kristoffer Asklöv, VP, Strategy & Business Development, Scanfil. Asklöv continues to explain that with the partnership the company will also be able to identify new market opportunities by making our its customers' products “smarter” through connectivity solutions.
