Dynamic GBS created to meet needs of EV battery market
Illinois-based Dynamic Manufacturing, a supplier of remanufactured torque converters, transmissions and transfer case assemblies has formed a strategic partnership with Michigan-based Global Battery Solutions to create a merged entity known as Dynamic GBS.
In a media statement, the partnership is being touted as “the industry’s largest EV battery remanufacturing supplier,” and designed to keep pace with the rapidly increasing demand for battery lifecycle management solutions as automotive and other vehicle manufacturers throttle up their electrified vehicle offerings.
Dynamic Manufacturing Chairman Gary Noel said, “We’re experiencing a huge shift in the needs of our OEM customers. We’re pleased to have found a partner with battery expertise to allow us to continue to meet all of our customers’ needs.”
The new entity is headquartered in Holland, Michigan and includes a complete commercial electronics laboratory for the testing and repair of battery components, along with an R&D facility. The company has additional manufacturing plants in Hillside, Illinois.
Dynamic Manufacturing is an IATF16949 certified and Woman Owned and Operated Business (as certified by the WBENC.) Its Holland plant employs 700 people and occupies approximately 1,000,000 square feet.
Global Battery Solutions is a Sybesma Electronics affiliate that is currently prospecting for strategic business partnerships, according to the company’s website.
