1 MEUR to inventor of the blue laser diode
The inventor of the blue laser diode, Mr Shuji Nakamura has been awarded one million euro.
The Japanese Shuji Nakamura invented the GaN blue laser diode in 1993 which was a great step forward compared to the earlier SiC diode technology.
