Standard prices on components?

Representatives from Arrow Electronics and Future Electronics are seeing that prices differs from eachother when your buying components in Asia and when you are buying components in Europe. This week the world´s top four distributors gathered to urge component suppliers to set a standard global price for their products. “The same prices all around the world. When you are doing business in Europe and Asia, there is a price differential of up to 10 percent”, Arrow´s VP of global marketing for Arrow's passives, emech and connector business, Philippe Djeddah named as a top of a wish list. This price difference may be a key reason for the migration of manufacturing to China and the Asia/Pacific region, according to Djeddah.
