Unimicron plans to spin off unit
PCB manufacturer Unimicron is planning to spin off its rigid-flex PCB business into a separate company.
The spin off will not affect the parent company's financials. The decision was made in order to increase the company's operating efficiency and its overall competitiveness, and to establish a clearly configured division of labor, according to a report in DigiTimes.
The new wholly owned entity will become effective on December 1, 2015, the report concludes.
