Arrow to launch web based RoHS service
The North American Components group of Arrow Electronics, Inc. has added a new feature to the search tool that enables visitors to quickly find RoHS compliance status on parts in Arrow's extensive inventory free of charge.
Site visitors simply enter a product number into the site's search function and the returned results indicate whether the part in stock is RoHS-compliant. The compliance status reported on www.arrownac.com is a reflection of the parts currently held in inventory.
"We are continually looking for ways to facilitate the access of RoHS information to our customers, because determining the RoHS compliancy of each component in a product can be a time-consuming task," said Darr Greenhalgh, director, Supply Chain Solutions, Arrow NAC. "Options for our customers who need to determine compliance range from analyzing supplier sites, interfacing with sales reps, or simply purchasing the information. While customers may still need to conduct these activities, our new feature gives them a quick and easy way to check for part compliance.
