Mycronic receives order for an advanced mask writer
Mycronic AB has received order for a Prexision-80 (P-80) mask writer for advanced display applications from an Asian customer.
The machine will be delivered during the second half of 2015. In addition to a custom made P-80, this order covers enhanced functionality including measurement capability during the manufacturing process. The extended functionality will be delivered later, probably early 2016. “Production of evermore advanced electronics products makes photomask complexity evolve. We have developed and offer the P-80 to meet requirements for manufacturing the most advanced display photomasks in the most cost efficient way,” says Magnus Råberg, Sr VP and General Manager Pattern Generators, of Mycronic AB. “This is the second order for our P-80 and demonstrates the need for improved technology to meet future demands. With this order Mycronic has filled up the possibilities to deliver advanced mask writers for display applications during 2015.”
