National Semiconductor cuts 6% of workforce
As part of a restructuring program, National Semiconductor intends to cut 550 jobs mainly at sites in the US, Europe and Asia.
National Semi´s CEO, Brian Halla, said the cuts reflect the company´s shift to higher-margin products. The company is from now on to focus more on value-added analog products.
