HP ups layoff numbers
Electronics giant Hewlett Packard is continuing its restructuring. A further 11 - 16'000 positions will be eliminated.
In May 2012, HP adopted a multi-year restructuring plan and estimated that 34,000 worldwide positions would be eliminated in the process.
The latest fiscal report now indicates a further increase in layoffs. The previously estimated number of eliminated positions will increase by between 11'000 to 16'000.
