PCB market sees positive start

German PCB manufacturers reported positive sales figures for January 2014. Figures rose 7 percent compared to January 2013.
In particular, medium and large-sized companies achieved higher sales numbers, writes the industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems. Revenue per working day was 19 percent higher than the average of 2013.

Order intake also started out with positive signs. Compared to January 2013, order intake increased with over 32 percent. A higher (absolute) level of bookings were only recorded in 2001 and 2006.

The book-to-bill ratio was - again - above par, with 1.14.

The number of employees did not significantly change, compared to December 2013. Compared to January 2013, employee numbers were 3 percent higher.
