China raises export tax rebate
China’s State Administration of Taxation is increasing the tax rebate on exports of electronics from 13% to 17%.
Product areas affected include LCD and CRT monitors, mobile phones, base stations and hard drives. As part of a mutual agreement with the US, China’s rebate system of a value-added tax on domestic semiconductors will end in April 2005, EETimes reports.
