Chip makers to spend $50.4 billion on equipment in 2006
According to IC Insights the chip makers will approximately spend some $50.4 billion on manufacturing Equipment this year.
The investments in machinery is expected to grow 10 percent from last year but the industry has a long way to go to reach the record year 2000 when $60.3 billion was spent on manufacturing equipment within the semiconductor industry.
