The future of head-up displays?
We've seen them in numerous SciFi movie, anxiously awaiting the arival of them. Yes I'm talking about transparent displays, and yes systems do already exist, but nothing like on the big screen.
However, researchers at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology have come up with a new approach that can have some advantages over existing systems, at least for specific kinds of applications: a wide viewing angle, simplicity of manufacture, and potentially low cost and scalability.
What I see is GPS maps in the corner of my front window or why not advertising on shopping windows.
