EADS to lay off 8'000
EADS' newly created Airbus Defence & Space division will see a 20% reduction of its 40'000 employee workforce.
The company has declined to comment on the matter, and it is believed that the company will announce a restructuring plan later in December, according to a Reuters report.
EADS' stated in July that with the combination of its defence and space units, it could not rule out workforce reductions, the report continues.
