Jabil Hungary to lay off 700 staff

Local media reports that the company stated that an adjustment of the number of employees to customer demands and orders was necessary. Jabil Circuit Hungary operates three units, including an assembly plant in Tiszaujvaros – the unit affected by the measures, - a logistics centre in Szombathely and a third unit in Pecs. The EMS-provider has roughly 8'000 employees in Hungary. As previously reported, Jabil received government support for job creation and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the government this spring.
