Faraday Circuits launches new IMS capability

Due in late September the machine will further expand the capacity and technology levels of the Washington plant in Tyne & Wear, which currently supplies to customers across the UK, Europe and Asia. The new investment will enable Faraday to further compete in the rapidly expanding LED lighting market by adding IMS (insulated metal substrate) material as a standard capability, alongside multilayer, PTH double sided, flexible, flex-rigid and conventional pcb manufacture. LED lighting uses IMS for heat management due to its thermal efficiency. Jamie Pearson, Managing Director, commented ‘We are delighted to be adding this capability and offering it to our customers.
