Alpha Micro appointed<br>by Luminary Micro for UK

The American fabless semiconductor startup Luminary appointed the distributor Alpha MIcro Components for UK and Ireland. Luminary's Chief Marketing Officer, Jean Anne Booth, commented: "When looking for a distribution partner in the UK, Alpha Micro was our natural choice. Not only do they have an excellent technical team, enabling them to bring OEM products to market sooner but they are also skilled in demand creation. Our new range of products are based on the ARM architecture; it was therefore essential that our UK partner had a thorough knowledge of the technology as well as an understanding of how it can be used with industry specific and embedded applications."
