Enics assesses supply chain risk in South Korea

EMS-provider Enics has formed a task force to assess supply chain risk in South Korea

The Switzerland-headquartered EMS-provider has issued the following statement: Tensions in Korean peninsula are increasing and both parties seem to prepare for the eventuality of an armed conflict. While the situation might solve itself in a positive way, we have started to analyze the impact of a possible armed conflict into our Supply Chain. Korea, and Korean companies, is a major factor in global electronics supply chain and a large scale conflict could have a remarkable impact on markets. We have formed a task force to follow and analyze the situation as well as to generate contingency plans. At the moment we are hopeful for a peaceful solution, but also want to take these precautionary steps in risk mitigation in case worst happens. So far, we have not seen any disruptions on our supply due to the Korean issue.
