Top 50 EMS sales grew 4.8%

On the new Top 50 list of the world's largest EMS providers of 2012 - sales reached a new high of USD 223.9 billion.
Top 50 sales grew by 4.8% last year, despite end market weakness. However, without the contribution of industry giant Hon Hai Precision Industry, sales would have fallen by 5.0%. Hon Hai represented a 59% majority of Top 50 revenue in 2012.

Making the Top 50 for 2012 was slightly more difficult than the year before. To qualify for the 2012 list, EMS providers needed a minimum of $210 million in sales, compared with the prior year’s cutoff of $208 million.

MMI Top 50 providers were ranked based on 2012 sales in U.S. dollars.
