Norway and Sweden lead on EBIT for Kitron
The restructuring of operations in the Nordic has shown first positive results for EMS-provider Kitron.
Announced a while back, EMS-provider Kitron has finalised the restructuring of its operations in Scandinavia. Norway as well as Sweden has seen the consolidation of operations into one manufacturing facility in each country: Arendal (Norway) and Jönköping (Sweden).
© KitronIn its latest fiscal Kitron paints a positive picture of its restructuring efforts. Both Norway and Sweden lead the way in EBIT. Sweden also shows improvement on the revenue side. The unit improved figures (YoY) 8.2% to NOK 112 million and shows now responsible for roughly 26% of total revenue. Norwegian operations also showed revenue increase – by some 2.5% - to NOK 201 million. This is turn corresponds to 48% of the group's total revenue. Workforce numbers have not changed significantly for Kitron as a group. Whilest Norway added 8 full-time employees (total is now 525), Sweden (total now 159) and Lithuania (now totalling 352) reduced workforce numbers by 21 and 41 respectively.
