Optiprint invests in factory extension

Construction of a new 2000sqm extension is well underway at leading Swiss PCB manufacturer Optiprint’s Berneck facility in Switzerland. The building is scheduled to be completed in late summer 2012 and the last remaining production department will relocate from Optiprint’s original plant and headquarters in Rehetobel to Berneck. The Berneck facility will become the company's new HQ. Along with the investment in the building Optiprint this year invested in new and additional laser machining capability, fully-automated measurement equipment and electrical test equipment. The company said a new multilayer-lamination-press and a horizontal inner-layer bond-promoting line are ordered and will be installed in the new factory extension during the third quarter of 2012.
