Electronics Production |
Made in US TVs could be back
The Detroit Free Press has reported that Element Electronics will begin manufacturing low-priced TVs in Michigan.
The company said they plan to hire about 100 workers for a plant that will manufacture TVs 46 inches or bigger. Production will likely start in March in a 250,000-square-foot facility based in Canton, owned by Lotus International. The plant has space for four assembly lines but will start initially with only one.
Element's TVs are currently sold online through Walmart, Target and Costco.
