EMS-giant Foxconn is to establish a smartphone manufacturing facility in Mianyang (China).
Taiwan-based EMS-giant Foxconn is to build a manufacturing facility in Mianyang (western China) dedicated to the production of 3G smartphones. Joint Venture partner is A Hong Communication & Digital Information, a subsidiary of Sichuan Chang hong.
The facility - which represents an investment of CNY 700 million (EUR 84 million) - has an estimated annual production capacity of 10 million smartphones, reports Xinhua.
A Hong is said to be the major client for the factory.
