Kitron opens manufacturing in Ningbo (China)

Kitron's site in China specialises in the entire value chain around the manufacturing and assembly of electronics products. The market segments include Medical equipment, Industry, Energy, Offshore/Marine and Telecoms. "Management training in low volume/high complexity manufacturing is a constant task. It is quite different to manufacture 10 different complex products a day compared to having the same product through the SMT line each day, as is most common in China today. The employees have to be trained to think differently and understand the importance of being innovative and creative, take ownership, challenge the status quo and suggest improvements. It is crucial to be able to combine the Nordic culture (innovation/creativity) with the Chinese (speed and customer service)," says Kitron's General Manager in China, Yvonne Wenzel.
