Saab modifies Assault<br> riffles worth MSEK 260

The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration has signed a contract with Saab Bofors Dynamics to upgrade the existing Ak5 assault riffle.

The contract encompasses almost 40,000 weapons and secures capacity utilization at Saab Bofors Dynamics' workshops in Eskilstuna for approximately four years. “We are very pleased to have been entrusted to carry out this modification, which will give the Swedish Armed Forces a top-class weapon. The contract also means a lot to our operation in Eskilstuna. We will be recruiting a limited number of new personnel,” says Tomas Samuelsson, President of Saab Bofors Dynamics AB.
