Amphenol to acquire AdvancedPCB
Private equity firm Industrial Growth Partners (IGP) has agreed to sell AdvancedPCB, a US maker of high-reliability PCBs, to Amphenol. AdvancedPCB serves customers in defence, aerospace and industry from six sites in the United States.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval in the US and customary closing conditions, according to a press release from IGP. The parties have not disclosed the purchase price.
AdvancedPCB is headquartered in Aurora, Colorado, and has been operating since 1977. IGP bought the company back in October 2021, together with members of management and outside co-investors. Since then, AdvancedPCB has grown both organically and through several acquisitions, and has been brought together under a single brand. IGP says the company has also deepened its focus on high-reliability markets, while investing in manufacturing capacity, automation and assembly capabilities.
“Their continued support has allowed us to invest in equipment, technology, and people at a time of growing demand from the aerospace & defence primes and emerging defence technology companies we serve,” says Greg Halvorson, CEO of AdvancedPCB, referring to IGP.
IGP describes AdvancedPCB as a leading independent North American PCB provider with a differentiated position in defence electronics. Once the deal closes, it will no longer be independent.
Neither IGP nor Amphenol has said when the deal is expected to close.
