Portuguese drone maker Beyond Vision raises €28 million

The capital would be used to strengthen the company’s operational infrastructure and scale its industrial production capacity, accelerate investment in R&D, and consolidate its commercial expansion into new international markets.

Beyond Vision, a Portugal-based manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems and vehicles (drones), has announced today the completion of an investment round of over EUR 28 million, co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with follow-on investment from ActiveCap, a shareholder since 2024.

This new funding is intended to scale industrial production capacity, accelerate technological development in AI and swarm capacity, and expand the company’s international presence in the defense and critical infrastructure sectors, Beyond Vision said.

This investment comes at a time of acceleration, after the company grew its team to 150 employees, exceeded its estimated revenues for 2025, and expanded its list of military and civilian clients in several countries, the company said.

“In critical sectors such as defense, infrastructure management, and security, the reliance on cutting-edge, reliable, and sovereign technology is now a strategic priority for many countries,” said Stephan de Moraes, Managing General Partner of Índico Capital Partners. “Beyond Vision has redefined this market by combining high-precision hardware with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms at a very competitive cost.”

Dário Pedro, CEO of Beyond Vision, said the capital would be used to strengthen the company’s operational infrastructure and scale its industrial production capacity, accelerate investment in R&D, and consolidate its commercial expansion into new international markets.

“The current geopolitical context and the strengthening of European investment in defense are creating new opportunities for technology companies capable of competing internationally,” said Tomás Lavin Peixe, Head of Venture Capital at Lince Capital. “We believe that Beyond Vision, due to its technological capacity, experience, and ambition, is well-positioned to seize this moment and contribute to the development of a stronger national ecosystem in high-value-added technologies.”
