Cohere to acquire AISLE to advance cyber-resilient sovereign AI

Founded in 2024, Prague-based AISLE has developed AI systems capable of discovering, validating and helping remediate previously unknown vulnerabilities in complex production software.

Canadian firm Cohere has announced a proposed agreement to acquire AISLE, a Czech company building autonomous systems to discover and remediate previously unknown vulnerabilities in critical software.

The proposed transaction represents another step in Cohere’s aim to build a sovereign AI platform, combining frontier AI models, agentic applications, secure deployment infrastructure, and advanced security capabilities that enable organizations to deploy AI with confidence, the company said.

“Following our acquisitions of Reliant AI and Aleph Alpha, the addition of AISLE would deepen our presence across the region and strengthen European AI and cybersecurity capabilities that help protect critical infrastructure, governments, and highly regulated industries around the world,” Cohere said.

Founded in 2024, AISLE has developed AI systems capable of discovering, validating and helping remediate previously unknown vulnerabilities in complex production software. Its approach combines foundation models with specialized security expertise, large-scale code analysis, rigorous validation and automated remediation.

“By bringing AISLE’s autonomous security research closer to Cohere’s frontier-model development and training, we see an opportunity to build more capable cybersecurity systems while exploring how difficult, verifiable security problems can help evaluate and improve future models,” Cohere said.

Cohere also plans to make a substantial long-term investment in Prague, expanding AISLE’s existing presence and establishing the city as its global center for AI cybersecurity and autonomous security systems.
